If singer-songwriter Becca Gohn has a superpower, it might be writing love songs.  From the jumble of thoughts that finds its way out of her head to paper, voice and piano, she creates her unique sound of emotive adult contemporary music sometimes pop flavored, sometimes jazz flavored, sometimes more singer-songwriter colored.  Her music centers around the themes of life, love and the human experience, while her distinctive voice brings to the table a sultry brassiness reminiscent of Billie Holiday and a sweetness you might mistake for Jewel.

Listeners of Becca’s music have cited Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Donna Lewis and Madeleine Peyroux as parallel-ish artists. On occasion she has even been told that there is a touch of country ambience to some of her work.  Becca will confess that there may be karaoke footage in existence somewhere of her singing Patsy Cline.

At the heart of her songs are her personal experiences, a profound appreciation for the beauty of language and music, a passion for storytelling, and a deep sense of  gratitude for this complicated life that has been given to all of us.

Becca shares a home with two kids, one devoted husband and one overly affectionate cat, all of whom have come to recognize the symptoms of “song idea” in progress.  The far off look in her eyes, the incessant singing and piano playing with complete disregard to circumstances, the frantic searching for her phone, a writing implement and paper, or the slightly ominous phrase “I just need a sec to do something” followed by sudden, often lengthy, disappearances to her music studio.

Becca has lived her dream on many stages including the Bitter End in NYC, The Kimmel Center with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops, Christkindlmarkt in Bethlehem, and World Café Live in Philadelphia and her songs have aired on WXPN, Women of Substance radio and the After Eight Radio Show.

Becca has recorded an album, an EP and many singles and is currently under going a 3 song project on Indiegogo.  Listen and support her at this link:   https://ffm.bio/beccagohn
